Switched to PestPac for invoicing my termite treatments and general pest routes, thought it'd streamline everything with the built-in scheduling for bait stations like Sentricon. First month in, a glitch doubled up on some quarterly service invoices for ant control jobs, and two clients canceled after seeing the mess. Lost $1200 in recurring revenue before I caught it, had to eat the refunds myself. PSA: test that shit on dummy accounts first, or you'll be scrambling like I did. Anyone else had billing headaches with pest software?

man, that sucks... i switched invoicing software last year and it doubled my entries too, had to refund a couple customers myself. been there with the scrambling to fix it all. these programs promise the world but always got some glitch waiting to bite you.

damn, that $1200 hit sounds like the crap i went through last year with pestpac glitching out on my route scheduling. had to manually redo 15 invoices after it duplicated entries for rodent jobs, and one pissed off client threatened to sue over the double charges. these software companies promise the world but deliver headaches, especially when their 'integration' with quickbooks just creates more mess. i ended up hiring a bookkeeper for $300 a month to catch this bs before it blows up. wish id tested on dummies like you said, but who has time for that?

man, same crap hit me when i ditched quickbooks for service titan, lost a grand in double-billed customers before i fixed it... sucks losing that recurring cash.

Haha, sounds like my first time with FieldRoutes, invoiced a roach job twice and the client thought I was running a scam. Had to comp the next treatment just to keep 'em.

Fuck these software companies, always nickel and diming us techs with updates that break basic shit like invoicing. We're out here baiting rodents and they can't even bill right, total BS.

Right? It's like they design it to screw over small ops. Switched back to paper for a bit, at least I could see the damn errors.

NGL, that sucks man. I stuck with QuickBooks for my pest side gigs and it's clunky but reliable, no surprises.
