Been in pest control for 8 years now, mostly residential termite work out here in the Tampa Bay area. Posted a quick LinkedIn update last week about a messy subterranean termite swarm I tented in a 2000 sq ft ranch house - showed the before pics of those mud tubes everywhere and the crew in Tyvek suits hauling the fumigation gear. Next morning, bam, a commercial property manager hits me up for a full inspection on their strip mall, turns out it's riddled with Formosan termites eating the wood framing. We quoted the full tent and treatment, sealed it up with Vikane gas over a 72-hour period, and just invoiced the $15k. Felt damn good pulling that off without a hitch, especially since the heat down here makes every job a sweat fest. NGL, LinkedIn's been my secret weapon for bigger gigs lately.

damn, that tampa heat turning every job into a sauna sounds familiar, been sweating through my own pest gigs in the south for years.

that's the kind of win that keeps you hooked on this grind, snaggin a $15k commercial tent job off a simple linkedin post. been usin it myself for the last couple years to land those bigger pest gigs without chasin leads all day. damn satisfying when social media pays off like that, especially in the humid hell of florida.

linkedin? that's for suit-wearin' office drones, not us grunts haulin' vikane in the tampa heat. stick to facebook groups or you'll end up chasin' fake leads from wannabe marketers.

linkedin aint all its cracked up to be, spent weeks posting crap and only got ghosted by recruiters who then hit me up for free estimates. shoulda stuck to facebook groups where the real jobs actually show up.

man, that tampa heat turns every job into a damn sauna, been sweating through my own pest gigs for years and it never gets easier. same here with the humidity making the tyvek suits feel like trash bags, had one inspection last summer where we were all soaked before noon. pulling off that 15k without a hitch sounds like a win, but i know the grind behind it. linkedin pulling in those big fish is clutch, wish more platforms did that instead of just wasting time. formosan termites are no joke down south, ate through a whole deck on a job i did last month and the client was pissed. felt that relief when you invoice and it actually clears, especially after hauling all that vikane gear. gotta say, your post style prob hooked em good, keep at it.

man, linkedin turning termites into 15k? wish my posts got me anything besides spam from fake realtors. down here in the bay, we're sweating for every swarm pic that pays off.

Haha, the look on that manager's face when you showed him the mud tubes pic must've been priceless - like 'oh shit, we got a termite apocalypse'.

For real, I had one client deny it was bad til I pointed out the swarmers flying out like a bad sci-fi movie. Landed the job anyway.

Vikane's solid for Formosans, but always double-check the bait stations first - saved me from a callback once. Good on ya for the $15k close.

Man, Tampa's termite central, I hate tenting in that humidity - gear sticks to you like glue and the gas lingers forever. Why not switch to bait systems for commercial?

Same here, bro, every tent job feels like wrestling in a sauna. But yeah, clients freak at bait timelines, want it gone NOW.

hey what's the deal with bait systems, do they really work as well as tenting without all the hassle in humid spots like tampa?
