Saw this warning about Trophy Plumbing in a FB group - overcharging for basic repipes?

Stumbled on a post in Plumbers United group where some guy got hosed by Trophy Plumbing up in the Seattle area, quoted $8k for a whole house repipe that should've been closer to $4k using PEX-B. He said they pushed unnecessary services like upgrading all the fixtures just to jack up the bill. TBH, makes me glad I stick to my own rates around here, but damn, these big outfits are getting bold.

This is why I always explain line item by line item to clients upfront. Sucks for that dude though.

LOL, Trophy? More like Trophy Scam. Heard they upsell you on 'premium' fittings that are just SharkBites.

Totally get it, had a client come to me after one of these outfits left them with leaks. Fixed it for half and they were relieved.

Damn straight, these stories make me double-check my own quotes to keep things transparent.
