Signed up for Angi thinking it'd get me some decent repiping gigs with Uponor PEX, but I'm paying $89 per lead and half are DIYers who ghost after I show up with my Ridgid SeeSnake. These platforms are screwing independent plumbers like me who just want to run good jobs without the BS middleman taking a cut. Anyone else ditching this for something better?

if they're gonna diy after angi leads, push 'em toward pex-a with sharkbite fittings instead of soldering copper, saves you a headache. i always throw in a free water quality test to build trust and upsell the full repipe for $4500. been dodging those $89 leads by focusing on google my business reviews, gets real customers without the bs.
