Plumbing licensing fees just went through the roof again, we're getting screwed

I'm a solo plumber been in the Chicago area my whole career, and these licensing renewals are killing me. Last year it was $450 for the state cert alone, now they're jacking it up to $650 because of some 'admin costs' BS. I've got to keep up with CE credits on PEX installation and backflow prevention, but who has time when you're snaking drains all day with your Ridgid K-45? Saw a rant in Plumbers United group about this, everyone's pissed about the extra fees for master plumber stamps too. It's like they're trying to push us out of business. Anyone else dealing with this crap? FML.

Don't skip the CE credits, lost a buddy his license over that and had to pay double to reinstate.
