Frustrated with 1-star reviews tanking my rep after venting jobs

Saw this twitter clip from a plumber explaining why venting is so damn critical for preventing pressure backups and smooth drainage, and it got me thinking about all the crap I've dealt with. Been in the Chicago area my whole career, and lately, customers are blasting me with bad reviews even when I explain the code stuff like needing proper DFU ratings on vents. Just finished a repipe using PEX-B and Viega fittings, thought it was solid, but the guy left a 1-star saying it 'feels off' without even testing it right. Now my Google profile is suffering, and leads are drying up. Anyone else seeing this with venting installs? Saw a similar rant in Plumbers United group about reputation hits from picky homeowners.

those homeowners are the worst, they watch one youtube vid and think they know better than code. screw em all.

nah, sharkbite fittings behind walls are fine if you know what youre doing. reviews dont matter if you charge right.

FML, same here last week on a drain line job. customer complained about noise, turns out their own setup was the issue. pissed me off big time.

try responding politely but firm, mention the IPC code 906 for vent sizing. turns half of em around.

document everything with photos before and after. cant argue with proof when reviews hit.

set up a review gating system, ask happy ones to post first. boosts the average quick.
