ServiceTitan is killing my plumbing business in north jersey

I'm in north jersey, been running my own plumbing outfit for 8 years, and I just sunk $2k into ServiceTitan thinking it'd streamline my drain cleaning and water heater installs. But damn, the subscription jumped another 30% this year and it's glitching on every job quote for PEX repipes. I can't even track my Ridgid SeeSnake rentals without it freezing up, and now I'm losing time on site chasing software bugs instead of snaking lines. Saw a rant in Plumbers United group about ditching it for Housecall Pro, but switching sounds like a nightmare too. Watched that Roger Wakefield video on efficient workflows and he barely mentions software, just good old pen and paper. FML, anyone else dealing with this crap?

Ditch it for Jobber, it's half the price and handles scheduling for pipe jobs without the headaches.

ServiceTitan is a money pit, had to eat $1500 in fees last quarter just to keep up with their updates on my commercial installs.

That bad? What kinda updates were breaking your bids?

Updates for NEC compliance tracking, but they screwed the quoting module every time.

Yeah, lost a whole week rescheduling water main jobs because of it.

How do you even migrate all your customer data from ServiceTitan without losing pipe inspection reports?

Export to CSV and pray, but half my historical drain calls vanished in the transfer.

Same here man, north jersey winters already slow us down on frozen lines, don't need software adding to the freeze.

we're all in the same boat with these bloated apps eating our margins on basic toilet flushes.

exactly, feels like they're designed to screw small plumbers like us.

Switch to FieldEdge if you do a lot of repiping, integrates better with SharkBite inventory.

SharkBites in walls? Bold move, but yeah FieldEdge tracks fittings decently.

You using PEX-A or B with those? I've had leaks on B type behind drywall.

Proud of my setup now, ditched the big names and built a custom Google Sheets for my van stock of Uponor manifolds, saved $800 a month.

Walked into a job last week where the previous plumber's software mixup had the wrong size pipe ordered, cost me extra hours soldering.

Happens too often, especially on emergency calls for burst mains.

Customer called at midnight about a leaky faucet, software wouldn't let me invoice on site, had to do it manual. Hilarious how tech is supposed to save time.

Lol, I just text pics of the fixed clog and Venmo them, screw the apps.

These software companies are vampires, sucking dry every solo plumber trying to stay afloat on residential re-pipes.

haha, my apprentice thought ServiceTitan was the bible until it deleted a whole week's schedule for boiler installs.

Lighten up, at least it's not as bad as that time the app routed me to the wrong address for a water softener swap.

Big tech overlords pushing us plumbers into bankruptcy with their 'innovations' on drain diagnostics.

yeah man, solidarity on this, my back's killing me from extra runs caused by bad routing.

Finally got off Housecall Pro after it botched my billing on a full house re-plumb, now using QuickBooks and it's night and day.

Don't get me started on the integration fees, almost dropped a client over a $50 pipe fitting dispute.

How much are you guys paying yearly for these? Mine's creeping to $3k and it's just for basic job tracking.
