I've been doing this 10 years and every time I see a hack job with SharkBites behind a wall, it comes back leaking in six months. They're fine for a quick fix on a rental or something, but for real plumbing? Nah, stick with soldered copper or PEX crimps using Viega fittings. Saw a post on r/Plumbing last week where a guy had to redo an entire bathroom because those push-fits failed under pressure. Someone in Plumbers United group asked about them for a remodel, and half the comments were horror stories. Watched a Roger Wakefield video on proper connections, and he basically said the same thing, don't rely on them long term. Newbies love 'em because they're easy, but they ain't code compliant in all spots per IPC 605.4 or whatever your local is. IMHO, charge extra if a customer insists on that crap.

use propex expansion rings with PEX-A, way better hold than crimps.

expansion tools cost a fortune though. stick to cinch clamps if you're budget.

proud to say i've never touched a sharkbite. all sweat joints here, zero callbacks.

try the ifan fittings instead, better seal and reusable.

goddamn frustrating when a callback is because of cheap fittings.

PSA: always pull a test on push fits, or you're screwed.
