I've been cold calling property managers for Ridgid tankless water heater upgrades, but the pushback on my $1500 flat rate is killing me. Clients keep saying it's too high when I'm using top-shelf Uponor PEX for the runs and following code to the letter. Screw it, gonna raise to $1800 and see who bites.

Raised mine to $2000 last year and business exploded - clients value the quality.

I feel you, cold calling sucks when they nickel and dime over a $50 part.

Yeah man, same here with every quote.

It's like they think plumbers print money.

Do it, $1800 is fair for Ridgid installs - throw in a free drain camera inspection to sweeten the deal.

$1800? Hell yeah, I charge that for basic re-pipes and they pay without blinking.

Wish my market was like that, stuck at $1200.

Same boat, been getting ghosted after quotes.

These managers act like they're doing us a favor.

Dude, the client who complained about $1500 ended up calling back after their DIY PEX job leaked everywhere.

Insurance companies and cheap managers are ruining the trade, time to unite and stop undercutting.

Pushback is real, but hold firm - I lost a deal once and regretted dropping the price.

Totally, better to walk away than work for peanuts.

SharkBite everything and charge premium - clients don't know the difference anyway.

Try Jobber for outreach scripts, helped me close 20% more Ridgid jobs without haggling.

Man, cold calls in this economy are a crapshoot.

PEX-A or bust, charge what you're worth and let the cheapos go elsewhere.
S

PEX-A adds $200 to material but saves callbacks.

Sucks, but raising rates filtered out the tire-kickers.

Those property managers treat us like vendors, not pros - time for a rate revolt.

I saw a post in Plumbers United about this, guy doubled his rates cold turkey.
D

Yeah, and his bookings went up 30%.

Don't drop below $1600 for tankless, materials alone eat half that.

Watched a Roger Wakefield video on pricing installs, he says bundle with maintenance plans.

Cheap clients get what they pay for, like that guy on r/Plumbing who botched his own water heater.

Out here we laugh at $1500 quotes, standard is $2200 for Ridgid.

Cold outreach works if you target high-end rentals, skip the slumlords.

Haha, told a client $1500 was 'budget' pricing, he paid $2500 after seeing the quote sheet.

Same, the struggle is real with these budget hawks.

Raise to $2000 and offer financing through Synchrony - closes deals fast.

Screw the PE firms buying up plumbing companies and dictating rates from afar.

those pe vultures swoop in like bad exes, offering peanuts for your blood, sweat, and that one time you fixed the boss's in-laws' water heater for free beer.

Never go below cost on cold leads, I learned that the hard way after a bad PEX job.

This guy in The Contractor Fight group ranted about the same, ended up hiking 25%.
