ServiceTitan is screwing over small plumbing shops like mine

been in the Chicago area my whole career and just switched to ServiceTitan for scheduling my drain cleaning and water heater installs, thought it'd streamline everything with the GPS tracking for my Ridgid vans. but now every damn job's showing up with double-booked techs and the invoicing glitches out half the time, wasting hours chasing approvals. saw a rant in The Contractor Fight group about how it's eating into profits with those hidden fees, and NGL I'm starting to agree. anyone else dealing with this crap on plumbing routes? thought Jobber was bad but this is next level. FML, back to square one maybe.

upgraded my three-truck plumbing outfit to ServiceTitan two years back and it's paid for itself ten times over on the repeat service calls alone. stick with it, the learning curve sucks but then it flies.

fuck these software giants, they're all the same, preying on us trades while charging an arm and a leg for basic shit.

same here man, every update breaks something new. feels like we're beta testers for free.

ditch it for Housecall Pro, way better for solo plumbers handling PEX installs and leak repairs without the bloat.

what's your setup like now, still using QuickBooks for the billing part?

i hear ya, lost a full day last week because the dispatch wouldn't sync with my Milwaukee tools' inventory tracker.

try FieldEdge instead, it's cheaper and integrates better with Ferguson orders for us plumbing guys.

man that sucks, been there with software fails turning a simple toilet flange job into a nightmare.

yep, chicago winters make late jobs brutal, can't afford the delays from buggy apps.

switched after the third glitchy invoice, now using Joist and it's night and day for getting paid on repipes.

the customer called mid-job pissed because the app sent the wrong ETA, had to comp a SharkBite fitting to smooth it over. hilarious in hindsight but not when it's your wallet.

totally get the frustration, hope you find something that doesn't suck the life out of your day.
