Newbie here, quoted $850 for a simple PEX repipe in Chicago and client bailed

I'm a second year apprentice out in the Chicago area and just lost my first solo quote. Client wanted a basic PEX-A repipe for their old galvanized mess, I came in at $850 flat rate figuring 8 hours labor plus materials from SupplyHouse. Now they're ghosting me and I don't know if I priced it too high or what, any tips on not screwing this up next time?

$850 sounds fair for PEX work there, but maybe throw in a free water test to sweeten it next time lol.

dude i quoted $1200 for similar in the burbs and they took it, you gotta upsell the why behind PEX over copper.
