I'm down in Louisiana and just finished a job where this idiot homeowner tried installing PEX-A himself after watching some YouTube tutorial, probably one of those Roger Wakefield vids, but screwed it up bad. The fittings were leaking everywhere because he didn't expand them right, and now the whole bathroom floor's soaked. Had to rip out his half-assed work and redo it with proper Uponor fittings, which took twice as long as it shoulda. Guy in the Plumbers United group was complaining about the same crap last week, said it's happening more with these DIYers thinking they're pros. SMH, if you're gonna half-ass plumbing, at least call someone who knows DFU codes. FML, lost a whole day on that.

don't ever trust a homeowner's solder joints, always re-do 'em before closing up. saved my ass more than once.

had a guy call me because his 'easy PEX install' turned into a geyser. charged him double for the stupidity tax. 😂

warning: if it's pex-b, check for kinks first or you'll be back next week.
