Was rodding out a main line for a customer when the camera head on my Ridgid SeeSnake snagged on some old cast iron roots, nearly yanking the whole cable out and snapping it. Woulda been a $1200 replacement easy, but I backed it off just in time. FML, double-checked the pull force after that.

Haha, sounds like the time my buddy lost a snake head in a septic and had to fish it with a magnet on a string. Dumbass move.

Man, that sucks. I've had a few close calls with camera cables myself, always makes you sweat.

Sweat? I about shit myself the first time. Now I always tape a backup line.

Yeah, tape is key. Saved my ass last month.

Tape? Hell, I double the cable strength now after one yanked free.

Frustrated as hell with these tools failing at the worst times. Ridgid should make em tougher.

Tougher? They cost enough already. But yeah, pissed me off too.

Buddy, same boat here, almost lost a $1000 camera last week to tree roots. Heart attack central.

You got this, just breathe next time. We've all been there.

Use a lighter head next time, or upgrade to the SeeSnake with the tougher cable. Saved me $500 on a similar job.

Lighter head? Nah, that crap breaks easier. Stick with the standard.

Insurance companies love hearing about tool losses, not.

Don't trust the wind going down the stack, always secure it.

SharkBites are safer than risking cables, but fight me on that.

We all hate when tools betray us like that.

Felt that, my back still hurts from a pull like that years ago.

How deep were you in? Ever pull out something weird like confetti?

Lol, imagine snaking a high rise and pulling another snake. Nightmare fuel.

Contractors like us get screwed by cheap tools too often.

Yeah, PE is buying up everything and jacking prices on parts.

Same, roots ate my cable once. Total loss.

Haha, I once found a toy dinosaur at 50 feet. Better than losing the tool.

We vs them, homeowners don't get how close these calls are.

SharkBites behind walls? Nah, traditional solder all day. Traditional wins.
