Switched to Housecall Pro last month for my plumbing gigs and it's been a mixed bag. Set up a job for a water heater swap with Rheem unit, snapped some pics of the old corroded tank, and the app auto-generated the invoice with all the line items for PEX fittings and labor. But then it glitched out and double-charged the drain cleaning fee, had to scramble to fix it on site with the customer breathing down my neck. Watched a Roger Wakefield video on efficient billing and thought this would save time, but now I'm second-guessing. Anyone got a better app for tracking those drain snake jobs without the BS? Saw a thread on r/Plumbing about Jobber being solid, but not sure. Guy in Plumbers United group raved about it for quick payments after installs.

Upgraded my solo operation to ServiceTitan last year and it's boosted my close rate on repipes by 30%, no more chasing paper invoices.

ServiceTitan is overkill for small jobs like unclogging a main line.

Don't skimp on the training, I wasted two weeks figuring out Housecall Pro's quirks and almost botched a whole house re-pipe quote.

Yeah, their support line is a joke, waited 45 mins once during a leak emergency.

Housecall Pro tried to charge me for 'premium' templates on a basic toilet install invoice, felt like a scam.

LOL, same, ended up using the free trial forever by making a new account.

Screw these software giants, they're all out to nickel and dime us plumbers on subscriptions while we deal with the real crap.

Went with Jobber and hit consistent $10k months on service calls, templates for everything from trenchless repairs to fixture swaps.

These apps are turning us into data entry clerks instead of fixing pipes, damn PE firms buying them up and jacking prices.

Insurance companies love the digital trails though, saved my ass on a disputed backflow preventer install claim.

Every damn one has hidden fees for integrations like QuickBooks, it's infuriating how they prey on us trade guys.

Yeah, and don't get me started on the downtime during peak season.

Man, I hear you, lost a full day of sewer scope work because the cloud crapped out.
