Man, invoicing for fleet maintenance on our plumbing vans is turning into a full-time job. We're in Texas so everything's spread out, chasing down receipts for Ridgid drain cleaners and Milwaukee impact wrenches after every sewer line job. I switched to Housecall Pro last year thinking it'd sync with QuickBooks for easier billing on those $500 oil changes and tire rotations, but it keeps glitching on multi-truck logs. Saw a thread on r/Plumbing where guys were bitching about the same thing, and someone in Plumbers United recommended ServiceTitan but damn that's pricey. My partner's been hounding me to get it sorted before tax time hits. Anyone else dealing with this crap? Watched a Tommy Mello video on streamlining ops, but he makes it sound too easy.
same boat here, fleet tracking is a pain in the ass.

Housecall Pro sucks for fleet stuff, the integration with QuickBooks is garbage.

totally, lost a whole week's worth of Ridgid tool rentals in a sync error last month.

switched back to paper logs, at least I can read my own handwriting.

feels your pain, Texas roads chew up vans fast after hauling PEX coils all day.

yep, my Ford Transit needed new brakes after two months of drain jobs.

add the heat, everything rusts quicker down there.

don't rely on software for fleet invoicing, it'll screw you on audits.

SharkBite fittings are a scam for high-volume work, stick to soldered copper.

nah, SharkBites save time on van repairs when you're in a rush.

ServiceTitan is overkill unless you're running 10+ vans.

exactly, for plumbing fleets it's just bloated features we don't need.

set up auto-reminders in your CRM for van services.
V

jobber's auto-reminders cut my fleet downtime by 40%, just set 'em up with a 30-day lead time for oil changes and inspections. keeps the vans rolling without the last-minute scrambles.
