Dealing with these BS permit requirements for simple PEX repipes

Man, I'm so sick of jumping through hoops just to repipe a basic bathroom with PEX-A. The local inspectors are nitpicking every little thing, like making sure every connection is up to code even if it's behind a wall where nobody's gonna see it. I get safety and all, but requiring permits for something that used to be a quick fix is killing my schedule. Saw a similar rant in Plumbers United group about how they're delaying jobs for weeks over nonsense like this. Anyone else dealing with this crap on residential calls? Watched a Roger Wakefield video on PEX installs and he didn't mention half this bureaucracy. It's like they want us to use copper only now or something. FML.
