Struggling to Get Plumbing Reviews in North Jersey Without Begging

Man, reviews-reputation is killing me out here in north Jersey where everyone's got an opinion but won't leave a damn Google review. I just finished a $2,800 job swapping out an old cast iron main for PEX-A with Uponor fittings, and the homeowner loved it, but getting them to post online feels like pulling teeth. Watched a Roger Wakefield video where he talks about subtle ways to ask without sounding desperate, but my usual 'mind leaving a quick review?' line gets crickets. Been at this 15 years, and with the competition from those big box plumbers, I need those 5-stars to stand out. NGL, I'm tempted to offer a $50 Home Depot gift card for it, but that seems shady. Anyone else dealing with this crap in a saturated market like this?

same shit here in jersey, folks love the work but act like leavin a review is worse than a root canal. been pullin teeth on that for years too, makes you wanna scream.

This is bullshit, every damn platform is cracking down on anything that smells like review gating while the fake 5-star farms keep pumping out crap. We're all getting screwed by the algorithm overlords. United we stand or some shit, time to push back on these tech giants treating us like the enemy.
