Had a run of these entitled homeowners last month, all wanting that premium GAF Timberline HDZ look but balking at the $15k install price for a full tear-off. They hit me with 'I got a quote for $10k' BS, no details, and then vanish when I ask for the specs. It's like they think we're interchangeable roofers slinging cheap asphalt from Home Depot.

SharkBite for roofs? Nah, but ghosting clients deserve whatever leaks they get.

Lol, imagine calling back a year later with water damage, still haggling price.

F this, the whole industry's flooded with cheap leads from Angi who treat us like Amazon delivery.

Walk away from those lowballs, your time's worth more than their discount dreams. I started adding a 'ghost fee' clause in quotes.

Same crap here, quoted $12k for CertainTeed and they said too high, found out later they went with some fly-by-night crew.

NGL, I had a good laugh when one called back after their 'bargain' roof failed inspection.

Document everything, then small claims if they owe deposit. Saved my ass twice.

Yeah, but most just disappear. Focus on referrals instead.

Proud to say I hit 20 solid jobs last quarter by ignoring the discounters.

How do you filter them out early?

We feel your pain, man. Lost a whole afternoon to a tire-kicker yesterday.

Don't touch ridge vents with those types, they'll blame you for hail damage next.

ServiceTitan helps track the flakes, but man, the rage builds.

I aim for $200k this year by cherry-picking clients who value quality GAF work.

Customer thought their cat caused the leak, not the shoddy install. Hilarious excuses.

Insurance companies are the real villains, denying claims on these botched jobs we didn't even do.

PE firms buying up roofers just to jack prices, screwing the little guys.

Yeah, and homeowners still cry poor. Collective BS.

You got a template for handling pushback on GAF premiums?
