Man, these insurance adjusters are killing me with their BS on asphalt shingle replacements. Just had a hail job in the Chicago area where the guy lowballed us on the CertainTeed Landmark shingles, saying only half the roof qualified even though it was all dented up from that storm last spring. We're using QuickBooks to track every damn deduction they try to pull, but it's like pulling teeth to get a fair payout. Saw a rant in the Roofing Contractors Facebook group about similar crap with GAF warranties getting denied left and right. And don't get me started on the paperwork - it's a full-time job just to book the labor costs for the tear-off. Anyone else dealing with this nightmare?
The underlayment replacement, claimed it wasn't damaged enough even with photos.

That's BS, always fight it with more pics and a second inspection.

Feel you on that, brother. Same crap every storm season.

Just finished a job where the adjuster wouldn't cover the ridge vents at all, had to eat $800 in materials.

SharkBite for roofs? Nah, but seriously, some insurers are pushing cheap synthetic underlayment that fails in two years. Fight 'em on premium felt every time.

Ugh, the endless audits are the worst part.

Insurance giants are colluding to screw small roofers like us - time to union up or something.

Union? In roofing? Good luck with that in this cutthroat market.

man, insurance adjusters around here treat us like we're the ones committing fraud every time we submit a claim, it's bullshit.

Had a claim denied because the 'hail' was 'debris' - yeah right, adjuster was a joke.

We band together in the groups and share adjuster names - blacklisting works wonders.

Last week, customer got $2k less than quoted because insurer said 'cosmetic damage' on Malarkey shingles. Pissed me off so bad I almost walked.

These corps are buying up roofing firms just to control claims - we're all getting rolled up soon.

Totally agree, the PE vultures are circling, undercutting rates to dominate insurance payouts.
