Out here in Texas, I just bumped my rates to $8k minimum for any commercial flat roof patch job with TPO membrane, and now my Insta stories are getting flooded with inquiries. Figured it was time after that hail season last year ate into my margins like crazy. Anyone else using TikTok to announce rate hikes without pissing off the old clients?

man, i feel that... hail season here in texas last year screwed my margins too, had to hike rates just to stay afloat without losing my shirt on every job.

Don't announce it on social, just do it on the next quote and blame material costs going up. I lost a repeat client that way last summer on a similar EPDM job.

Smart move, materials are BS right now anyway. But how do you handle the ones who notice and call you out?

Same here in the heat, social media helped me double my flat roof gigs after a rate bump.

Felt that, my Texas commercial quotes went up 20% and the referrals actually increased. Social just amplifies the good jobs.
