Been pushing GAF Timberline HDZ shingles hard on Instagram and Facebook ads for my roofing jobs, spent about $5k last quarter on targeted campaigns. Got a solid 15 leads that turned into $80k in installs, but man the ad costs are climbing. Anyone else using this setup for roofing marketing, or am I overpaying? Saw a video from that roofing channel on YouTube breaking down ROI, and it got me thinking.

hell yeah, $80k from $5k? id drop the ads tomorrow and hire a billboard guy dressed as a timberline shingle to dance on corners... way cheaper and my leads would actually remember me lol

dude, those ad costs are KILLING me too, dropped 4k on facebook last month chasing gaf leads and only closed two jobs worth maybe 20k total. feels like the algorithms are rigged against small crews like us, and gaf's big marketing budget just makes it worse. shoulda stuck to yard signs and word of mouth.

hell yeah, $5k on ads and im still waiting for that one lead who doesnt ghost me like a bad date. gaf shingles might sell roofs but facebook's algorithm is the real shingle in my ass.

your 15 leads turning into 80k revenue sounds pretty damn solid on a 5k spend, thats a 16x roi which beats what most guys pull off. tweak your targeting to homeowners in hail-prone areas and use geo-fencing around recent storm zones to cut waste on clicks. i switched to running ads through meta business suite with custom audiences from past clients and saw my cpl drop 30% without hiking the budget. layer in some user-generated content like quick timelapse videos of timberline installs to boost engagement. test a/b splits on ad copy too, one pushing the 50-year warranty hard and another focusing on energy savings. if costs keep climbing, dial back to organic posts with stories from jobsites to keep the momentum without burning cash.

dude, that 5k burn on ads feels like pissing away beer money til those 80k jobs hit, been there and it aint funny when the leads dry up.

dont sink another 5k into those ads without tracking your actual close rate per lead, i lost a ton last year chasing instagram hype and it nearly wiped me out.

hell yeah, $5k on g.a.f. ads is like paying for the shingles before you even nail em down, but at least your roi aint as leaky as some of my old jobs 😂

facebook's ad costs are straight up robbery, jacking up prices every damn quarter while we chase the same roofs, it's bullshit how they squeeze us roofers dry.

GAF Timberline HDZ are overrated for the premium you're paying, stick to Malarkey or BP in most markets cause they hold up better without the hype tax. your $5k ROI sounds decent but ad platforms are screwing roofers with those algo changes, fight me if you think GAF's worth pushing harder.

angis screwing all of us with those skyrocketing costs, man, its like they jack up the prices every damn month just to bleed us dry. stick to yard signs and referrals if you can, ads aint worth the headache anymore.

those ad platforms are straight up robbing us blind, jacking up costs while giving us scraps for leads. angi and the rest of em are the real crooks in this game, makin it impossible for small crews like mine to compete.

those damn ad platforms are squeezing us roofers dry, costs doubling every quarter while we chase the same leads. pisses me off how facebook thinks they run the show on our marketing budgets.

gaf's basically a scam wrapped in fancy marketing, brother - those timberline hdz are overpriced garbage compared to straight iko or owens corning for half the hassle. i dumped $3k on similar fb ads last year and yeah, pulled in some jobs, but half the leads ghosted after hearing the real install price, left me chasin my tail. timbers blow off in a decent wind anyway, seen it too many times up here in the midwest. screw their 'master elite' badge, its just a pay-to-play club for roofers who wanna look legit without the quality. you shoulda stuck to yard signs and word of mouth, way cheaper and less bs.

man, i feel that frustration with gaf's marketing BS, dumped cash on their cert last year and got zilch extra jobs for it. been there chasin ghost leads too, total waste of time.

Hit $250k last year marketing my HVAC side gigs the same way, ads paid off big time once I dialed in the targeting.

What kind of targeting worked best for you? I'm trying geo-fencing around storm-hit areas but the clicks aren't converting.
