Been doing roofing installs for about 10 years now, mostly asphalt shingle jobs on single-family homes. Lately, my invoicing has turned into a crap-show because I'm still using QuickBooks and it doesn't play nice with material breakdowns like GAF shingles versus underlayment costs. We're in the Phoenix area where slow season doesn't really exist, so I'm quoting 5-6 jobs a week and need something that handles change orders without me pulling my hair out. Saw a thread on r/Roofing last week where a guy raved about Acculynx for tracking everything from tear-off to final payment. Anyone else switched to that or something similar for roofing-specific invoicing? I want to avoid paying a fortune, but efficiency is key to not screwing up my margins.

switched to acculynx last year and its a game-changer, cut my invoicing time in half on those 10k shingle jobs without any more margin screw-ups.

goddamn quickbooks is a total nightmare for roofing breakdowns, they know we're gettin screwed with those fees and still wont fix shit for us trades.

acculynx is a bloated cash grab thatll lock you into their ecosystem and jack up fees after year one, stick with jobber for roofing invoicing if you want real flexibility without the BS upsell. quickbooks aint perfect but at least it doesnt nickel and dime you for basic breakdowns.

acculynx is solid for roofing breakdowns, integrates gaf material costs right into the invoice templates without the quickbooks hassle, and it's only about $150/month for what you're doing.

Acculynx is overrated for small crews like yours - stick with Jobber, it's half the price and handles shingle job invoicing without the bloat.
