Taxes killing me with these CertainTeed material write-offs

Just finished my quarterly taxes and the CPA charged me $850 to sort out all the deductions for CertainTeed shingles and underlayment from last year's jobs, but the IRS is still nitpicking every receipt. It's a damn nightmare trying to claim the right amounts for roofing supplies when half my costs are on credit card statements that don't specify shit. Watched that one video from Essential Craftsman on business expenses and it helped a bit, but man, this shit's frustrating.

screw the irs, i just bundle all my certainteed receipts into one fat folder and tell my cpa to fight em on it every time. last year they tried to disallow half my underlayment costs cuz the credit card didnt break it down, but i pushed back with job photos and got every penny. if youre not recording the exact sku and quantity on-site, youre screwed come tax time. tbh, id rather burn the receipts than let those bastards nitpick my livelihood.

yeah man, same boat here with the supply write-offs, feels like you're always one receipt away from an audit.
